Site Civil/Mechanical Engineer – Pile Foundation & Solar PV Projects (Sohar, Oman) – 4 Months with possible extension
Job Description
Supervise and manage all civil construction activities on site, with a strong focus on pile foundations and solar PV plant infrastructure, including equipment foundations, inverter/transformer bases, cable trenches, access roads, drainage systems, and fencing. Oversee contractors’ daily site activities to ensure full compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage all civil construction activities on site, with a strong focus on pile foundations and solar PV plant infrastructure
- Oversee contractors’ daily site activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, quality, and HSE requirements
- Review, evaluate, and approve civil method statements, ITPs, and shop drawings
- Coordinate and witness inspections, testing activities, and pile load tests
- Track construction progress and prepare daily and weekly reports
- Coordinate with electrical, PV teams, HSE personnel, and EPC contractor
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in civil works supervision
- Proven hands-on experience in pile foundation works and solar PV / renewable energy projects.
- Experience in industrial, power, or energy projects is mandatory.
- Prior GCC / Oman project experience is a strong advantage.
- Solid knowledge of international construction codes, piling standards, and site QA/QC procedures.
