HR & Admin Manager (Mozambique)
Job Description
Pacific International Lines (PIL) is seeking an experienced HR & Administration Manager to manage human resources and administrative operations for our Maputo office. This role oversees recruitment, employee lifecycle management, payroll, performance processes, and office administration, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and company standards.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to address day-to-day people-related matters
- Manage recruitment and the full employee lifecycle
- Coordinate with HR HQ COEs on talent management, compensation, and benefits
- Handle end-to-end hiring including interviews and salary negotiations
- Prepare and review monthly payroll accurately and on time
- Monitor administrative budgets and implement cost-control measures
- Coordinate performance appraisal processes and salary reviews
- Manage employee relations and disciplinary matters
- Oversee office facilities, property, vehicles, and security
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5–7 years of relevant HR experience, preferably within a multinational or global organization
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, employee relations, and disciplinary procedures
- Demonstrated leadership ability with experience managing and developing teams
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Portuguese
- Current base in Maputo, Mozambique with legal right to work
