Job Description
To design and develop electrical systems for various projects in compliance with approved codes and standards, while providing effective engineering solutions within a consulting engineering environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and prepare electrical drawings (power, lighting, low current, low voltage)
- Perform detailed electrical calculations (load, cable sizing, voltage drop)
- Prepare technical specifications and Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
- Coordinate with architectural, mechanical, and structural disciplines
- Review and approve Shop Drawings submitted by contractors
- Ensure designs comply with IEC, NEC, and local codes
- Participate in technical meetings with clients
- Prepare technical reports and design studies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- 7 to 10 years of proven experience in electrical design
- Previous experience working in consulting engineering offices
- Strong knowledge of building electrical systems
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux, and/or ETAP
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team and under pressure
- Good command of the English language (written and spoken)
