Mechanical Engineer Power Plant O&M
Job Description
We are looking for a highly experienced Mechanical Engineer to support power plant operations and maintenance (O&M) in Oman. The role involves supervising mechanical systems, leading maintenance teams, and ensuring reliable plant performance in line with safety and operational standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage mechanical operation and maintenance activities of the power plant
- Supervise maintenance teams and contractors on site
- Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance
- Monitor performance of mechanical equipment and rotating machinery
- Analyze faults, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational procedures
- Maintain technical reports, maintenance logs, and schedules
- Coordinate with electrical and operations teams for plant reliability
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Power Plant O&M
- Proven supervisory / leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of power plant mechanical systems and maintenance practices
