Cable Technician
Job Description
The Cable Technician will be responsible for the installation of inside/outside plant copper and fiber optic cables, terminating all types of fiber optic connectors for Amentum sites in Iraq.
Responsibilities
- Pull, test, tone, label, troubleshoot, and repair inside and outside plant wiring.
- Perform site surveys and testing on fiber and copper cables.
- Install new lines and repair existing DSN and LAN lines.
- Review and update facility drawings.
- Maintain a safe workplace.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Three (3) years’ experience working as a cable technician.
- Knowledge of NFPA / OSHA / ANSI-EIA-TIA standards.
- Valid driver's license.
- US Citizenship required for facility credentials at this location.
- Satisfactory English proficiency.
