Job Description
Our client in the Oil and Gas industry is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage financial reporting, general ledger activities, reconciliations, and compliance processes. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial records, support audits, and maintain compliance with local regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Oversee general ledger accounting and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
- Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and local regulatory requirements
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities
- Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of accounting experience, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel
