Job Description

GEMS American Academy in Qatar is currently looking for a hard-working and talented individual to join our elementary school team. Key responsibilities include delivering the curriculum, planning quality lessons, and maintaining records.

Responsibilities

  • Embrace and encourage GEMS core values
  • Deliver the required curriculum
  • Plan and deliver quality lessons to motivate students
  • Establish and maintain records of plans, attendance, assessment etc.
  • Assess, record and report on academic development
  • Participate in appraisal and CPD
  • Monitor and supervise student behavior
  • Communicate and meet with parents regularly

Qualifications

  • Hold a B.Ed or bachelors degree in relevant field with PGCE/PGDE or equivalent level 5 teaching qualification
  • At least 2 years teaching experience in relevant subject area or age group
