Job Description
Emirates NBD is a market leader across the MENAT region. As a Head Teller, your role is to supervise a team of tellers, validating all transactions originating from the team, and ensuring they meet technical requirements, comply with procedural guidelines, and provide approval within the delegated authority limits.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and train tellers on proper cash handling procedures, customer service standards, and adherence to banking regulations.
- Ensure teller operations are conducted accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor teller cash levels and vault management to maintain adequate funds.
- Resolve escalated customer inquiries or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Conduct regular audits of teller transactions and vault balances.
- Collaborate with branch management to implement operational procedures and achieve sales goals.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the teller team.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and bank policies.
- Assist in opening and closing procedures, including balancing cash drawers and preparing reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in banking or financial services, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of banking regulations, compliance requirements, and risk management practices.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in cash handling and transaction processing.
- Proficient in computer applications and banking software systems.
