Senior Vice President, Commercial
Job Description
The SVP, Commercial is responsible for defining and executing the company’s sales strategy to drive top-line growth. This player-coach role oversees sales, marketing, and business development, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and market opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy
- Direct all sales activities to achieve revenue and profitability goals
- Oversee sales management functions, including training, recruiting, and proposal development
- Lead and develop the business development team
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients and partners
- Identify new markets and lead expansion initiatives
- Align marketing strategies with commercial objectives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Business, Marketing, or Sales Management
- 15-20+ years progressive sales and sales leadership experience
- At least 10 years of Life Science industry experience
- At least 10 years of experience selling professional services in a complex sales environment
- Proven experience hiring, training, and managing business development professionals
- Passport for travel is required
