Event Logistics Specialist
Job Description

The selected candidate will step into the spotlight as a trusted logistics lead, orchestrating the seamless movement of shipments across borders and continents for high-profile shipments in the entertainment, arts, sports, and live events industries. This position is fully remote within Canada, with a preference for candidates based near Toronto or Montreal.
Responsibilities
- Manage international and domestic freight from planning to delivery (LTL, FTL, air, ocean)
- Coordinate time-sensitive, high-profile shipments for global events
- Liaise directly with clients to understand needs, deliver updates, and solve challenges on the fly
- Negotiate with carriers and align with customs regulations to ensure flawless delivery
- Prepare and manage transport documentation, including Carnets, customs declarations, commercial invoices, and certificates of origin
- Proactively mitigate risks, resolve clearance or transit issues, and keep the show on the road
- Input costs, manage billing, and keep project files organized and audit-ready
- Balance multiple projects with competing priorities—especially under tight, immovable deadlines
Qualifications
- 5+ years in freight forwarding (events/logistics experience highly preferred)
- Strong background with Canadian and U.S. customs clearance processes
- Proven ability to handle high-pressure timelines and high-stakes clients
- Stellar communication (written and verbal) in English
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and documentation management
- CIFFA or other logistics certifications (a strong asset)
- A customer-first mindset, with a knack for creative problem-solving
- Confidence, independence, and the drive to own your work from start to finish
