Chief of Staff to the Founder - Toronto, Canada
Job Description
Human Agency is seeking a Chief of Staff to serve as a force multiplier for the founder. This remote independent contractor role involves translating the founder's vision into executable plans, building internal operating systems, managing special projects (AI transformation, fundraising, talent recruitment), and ensuring organizational alignment.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the founder to translate priorities and strategic vision into sequenced plans
- Own end-to-end execution of founder-level special projects
- Build and improve internal operating systems (hiring, resource allocation, ops rhythms)
- Orchestrate complex, cross-functional initiatives across multiple teams
- Ensure crisp internal communication on company strategy and priorities
Qualifications
- 5-7+ years in high-performing environments such as Chief of Staff roles, consulting, or startup leadership
- Demonstrated success in taking ambiguous, complex initiatives and driving them to completion
- Strong systems thinking and process design capability
- Exceptional project management and coordination skills
- High proficiency with modern collaboration tools (Google Workspace, Asana, Notion, Slack)
