Job Description

The Staff Planner navigates the growth of IKEA business by ensuring efficient and productive staff schedules. The role focuses on optimizing planning and rostering to balance co-worker work-life demands with IKEA business needs, aiming for sustained profitability. Success is measured through careful compliance with labor laws, timely schedule postings, and achievement of productivity KPIs while improving overall store operations.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the store’s complete staff planning process from forecasting to the execution of the schedule
  • Plan, collect, analyze, and review schedules, vacation trends, and planned trainings
  • Ensure schedules are published in time to meet store requirements and register all changes on the system promptly
  • Responsible for the daily time acceptance process of the store
  • Support department managers frequently to ensure quality schedules
  • Continuously monitor staff planning-related KPIs and produce schedule-related reports
  • Prepare the monthly payroll report, capturing any overtime hours, shortage of hours, or any unregularized absence
  • Uphold AF Group Policies & Procedures when planning the staff monthly schedule

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of experience in staff scheduling within a retail environment
  • Knowledge of scheduling and rostering techniques
  • Very good command of the English language; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage
