Saudi Arabia: Assistant Driller
Job Description
The Assistant Driller is responsible for assisting the Driller by undertaking tasks as assigned in an efficient and timely manner. This includes standing in for the driller during operations and managing the crew in accordance with KCA DEUTAG quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise order and housekeeping at rig site
- Maintain drilling tools and equipment
- Prepare equipment with the drilling crew
- Supervise loading of rig equipment before rig moves
- Inspect derrick/mast and equipment and record findings
- Supervise handling on rig floor during equipment pickup
- Stand in for Driller when pulling out or running into casing
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a supervisory role within drilling operations
- IWCF Well Control Certification or equivalent (Wellsharp)
- Banksman/Slinger certificate
