Lead Principal Urban Planner
Job Description
AtkinsRalis is looking for a Lead Urban Planner to technically lead the planning, design, and delivery of large-scale developments in Saudi Arabia aligned with Saudi Vision 2030. The role involves preparing master plans, land use strategies, and urban guidelines while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and engaging with government authorities.
Responsibilities
- Drive preparation of master plans, urban development frameworks, and land use strategies
- Lead site analysis and feasibility studies
- Manage planning reports, concept designs, and zoning layouts
- Collaborate with transport, infrastructure, and environment teams
- Engage with Saudi government authorities and developers
- Support preparation of bids and proposals
- Mentor junior planners
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Architecture, or related field
- 15+ years of professional experience with at least 10+ in Middle East
- Membership of a recognized professional body (RTPI, AICP, ISOCARP, etc.) is desirable
