Terminal Operations Supervisor
Job Description
AAR's WASS program is seeking a Terminal Operations Supervisor in Iraq to oversee passenger terminal operations. This role ensures the safe and efficient movement of personnel, baggage, and cargo for Embassy Air flights. Responsibilities include managing check-in procedures, flight schedules, and emergency response, while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the operational performance and sustainment of passenger terminal operations
- Oversee passenger check-in procedures, manifesting, and weight data entry
- Develop and maintain work schedules including rotational schedules
- Conducts performance counseling and writes performance evaluations
- Ensure all passengers, baggage and cargo complete required security screening
- Monitor and adjust flight schedules based on weather or operational considerations
- Develop and implement emergency response procedures
- Ensure exceptional customer service and a positive passenger experience
- Assist in arranging transportation and logistics for passengers
- Ensure cargo staged and onloaded to aircraft
- Ensure passenger safety within the airport working area
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent military/related training
- 10 years of experience in an Air Operations Center, Base Operations, or airline customer service
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations
- U.S. security clearance and valid passport required
