Data Center Technician
Job Description
Responsible for effective delivery of hands-on technical support and installations. This will include server hardware and network break-fix tasks, structured cabling installation, rack deployments and decommissioning activities, site planning, problem escalation and performing installations in an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) data center.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize ticketing queues and resolve incidents
- Provide 24x7 site coverage
- Installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all production server and network hardware
- System board level repair and fault diagnosis
- Structured cabling installation
- Perform monthly, quarterly and annual compliance audits
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems OR equivalent work experience
- Hands on experience in IT Infrastructure support
- Driving license and able to reach data center site within 60 mins
