Sr. Category Manager
Job Description
We’re looking for a Senior Category Manager to join the team and focus on growing our own Grocery Store tMart, which is the region’s first cloud store concept offering 30-minute delivery of groceries at hypermarket prices. You will lead on pricing strategy, assortment guidelines, SKU limits, and category performance reviews.
Responsibilities
- Lead development of a pricing strategy that meets objectives by country
- Identify target competitors and collect retail audits
- Set assortment guidelines (Breadth & Depth)
- Develop reports to assess category performance including GMROI and CSAT scores
- Perform category rationalization exercises to identify items for close out
- Work with regional commercial team to drive affordability and profitability
- Negotiate commercial agreements with suppliers
Qualifications
- At least 5+ years of experience in progressive development and management of multiple product categories
- Experience working for large retailers (FMCG) in an international setting
- Ability to interact with senior-level executives
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Fluent English and Arabic
