Resident Engineer (Civil &Tracks), Dammam
Job Description
SYSTRA is seeking a seasoned Resident Engineer to lead onsite delivery for the Civil/Tracks package within a major rail/metro program. Operating under a PMC scope and embedded alongside the client and contractors, you will oversee construction quality, safety, progress, interfaces, and compliance with contract and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead site supervision for civil and track works including earthworks, structures, and rail installation
- Enforce HSE standards and chair coordination meetings
- Monitor construction quality against IFC drawings, specifications, and ITPs
- Oversee progress against approved schedules and look-aheads
- Manage interfaces with utilities, stations, and systems teams
- Review and approve contractor method statements and shop drawings
- Administer the contract at site level
- Validate contractor progress measurement and interim payments
- Lead and mentor site inspection teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of post-graduate experience in construction supervision for rail/metro or major transport/linear infrastructure
- Mandatory experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC
- Experience with FIDIC-based contracts
