Cost Analyst
Job Description
Support financial performance and margin protection across perfume retail operations. Analyze product costs, landed costs, inventory valuation, and profitability using advanced Excel and Power BI. Validate landed costs (freight, customs duty). Ensure accurate cost allocation per SKU. Build and maintain Power BI dashboards covering gross margin, inventory aging, and promotion profitability. Develop Excel models for SKU profitability and pricing simulations. Analyze margin performance across stores and channels. Monitor cost treatment of testers and high-value fragrance SKUs.
Responsibilities
- Validate landed costs for imported shipments
- Ensure accurate cost allocation per SKU and batch
- Build and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards
- Develop advanced Excel models for profitability analysis
- Analyze margin performance across retail and e-commerce channels
- Assess financial impact of promotions and discount campaigns
- Monitor cost treatment of testers and promotional gifts
- Deliver weekly and monthly margin dashboards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in cost analysis or inventory costing
- Experience in retail, perfumes, cosmetics, or FMCG preferred
