Lead Full-stack Developer
Job Description
Our client is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Lead Full-Stack Developer to join us as a full-time remote contractor and become an integral part of our small, fast-moving team. You’ll take ownership of an existing mobile app codebase and lead hands-on architecture and development across the product backlog. The product is built with React Native / Expo and Firebase, including Firestore, and integrates significantly with Google Calendar.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of existing React Native / Expo and Firebase codebase
- Lead hands-on architecture decisions to improve scalability and performance
- Identify and address technical debt
- Establish and refine engineering best practices
- Implement new features and enhancements across mobile and backend systems
- Work deeply with Google Calendar syncing and related integrations
- Collaborate with Founder, CTO, and Product Manager
- Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines
Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong React Native/Expo experience and modern JavaScript/TypeScript proficiency
- Strong Firebase experience, including Firestore data modeling
