Hazmat Compliance Advisor (105036)
Job Description
The Hazardous Compliance Advisor is responsible for executing Weatherford’s global HazMat strategy to prevent and mitigate risks to safety, health, and the environment within the assigned facility and country of operation. The role supports, advises, and monitors compliance with global standards related to Radiation, Explosives, and Primary Lithium Battery Protection Programs.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update facility-specific licenses for hazardous materials
- Ensure radioactive material (RAM) traceability
- Maintain records for HazMat-authorized employees
- Ensure RAM shields and containers are correctly marked
- Administer the radiation dosimeter program
- Conduct facility-level HazMat audits
- Lead Root Cause Analysis for HazMat incidents
- Act as focal point for international HazMat imports/exports
- Vette and approve HazMat vendors
- Conduct regular field site visits for compliance verification
- Liaise with local regulatory bodies and government agencies
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Science or Engineering
- MOH-approved Radiation Safety Officer (RSO)
