Risk Manager
Job Description
Wood is currently seeking a Risk Manager to support our projects business. The role involves contributing to the development of a new gold mine and processing facility at a remote site in Saudi Arabia. Typical responsibilities include leading project risk identification, assessment, and mitigation planning; maintaining project risk registers; and facilitating risk workshops.
**Typical Responsibilities**
* Develop and implement model risk management program and validation protocol.
* Lead project risk identification, assessment, and mitigation planning.
* Maintain and update the project risk registers and ensure alignment with Company’s Capital Investment System (MCIS).
* Facilitate risk workshops and integrate risk insights into project decision-making.
* Ensure consistency and transparency in risk governance and controls.
* Provide risk reporting to executive management. Prepare high quality reports, presentations and documentation.
* Stay current on industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
* Review internal control reports and recommend improvements.
* Lead and mentor risk management teams and consultants.
* Interface with commercial, finance, HR and operation departments on risk related matters.
**Expected Qualifications**
* Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Economics, or related fields.
* Minimum 15–20 years of experience in project controls, risk management, or mining project execution.
