Bringing Technology to life As a Field Service Engineer - Mechanical Heavy Duty Gas Turbine, you will advise and counsel for pre-defined maintenance activities. To the extent specified during the performance of work, such service may also include testing, adjustment, programming and other similar services as agreed upon with the Headquarter Technical assistance team.
As a Field Service Engineer - Mechanical Heavy Duty Gas Turbine, you will be responsible for handling mechanical Inspection including CI, HGPI and MI for Heavy-duty gas turbine and its auxiliaries; planning and preparing schedule with the customer for all planned maintenance activity; and performing troubleshooting in collaboration with the technical support team. You will take lead in discussions with customers for implementation of any mechanical-related NICs/TILs and follow up until completion. You will maintain documented history of modifications, prepare quality Field Service reports, and support end users with diagnostics. Performing geometric dimensional checks, positioning, levelling, and alignment is required. You should be well versed in handling new unit Erection / Installation, Pre-commissioning and commissioning of gas turbines and auxiliaries including lube oil systems, starting systems, fuel gas systems, and filter houses.
Responsibilities
- Handling mechanical Inspection including CI, HGPI and MI for Heavy-duty gas turbine and its auxiliaries
- Planning and preparing schedule with the customer for all planned maintenance activity
- Perform troubleshooting and address technical queries on end users in collaboration with the technical support team
- Take lead in discussion with customer for plan and implementation of any mechanical-related NICs/TILs
- Maintaining a documented history of all mechanical modifications for the Covered Units
- Preparing effective and quality Field Service reports
- Supporting end users operation & maintenance staff with diagnostics counselling
- Performing geometric dimensional check of foundation, equipment and auxiliaries’ skids positioning, levelling and alignment
- Handling new unit Erection / Installation, Pre-commissioning and commissioning of gas turbines and auxiliaries
- Advising on the interpretation of drawings for installation optimization
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- More than 7+ years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas/ Power/ Refinery/ Turbomachinery industries
