Duty Engineer
Job Description
As a Duty Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facility's critical systems and infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain facility systems, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and implement effective solutions
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
- Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues across various engineering disciplines
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, reports, and logs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency and safety
- Ensure compliance with local engineering standards and regulations in Iraq
- Provide technical guidance and support to other team members
- Implement energy management and sustainability practices
- Conduct regular inspections and safety audits
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee contracted maintenance services
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar engineering role
- Relevant engineering certifications (e.g., Professional Engineer certification) preferred
- Strong technical knowledge of engineering principles and practices, particularly in facility management
