Logistics Operations Manager
Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and proactive Logistics Operations Manager to oversee and optimize their entire logistics and warehousing operations. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement and storage of goods. As a fully remote position, you will leverage technology and strong communication skills to manage a distributed team and external partners. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, inventory management, transportation, and warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing effective logistics and warehousing strategies
- Managing end-to-end supply chain operations
- Overseeing transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities
- Optimizing inventory management and control
- Ensuring efficient order fulfillment and delivery
- Implementing and managing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Negotiating with transportation carriers and vendors
- Ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Managing logistics budgets and controlling costs
- Leading and developing the logistics team
- Identifying and implementing process improvements for efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Significant experience in a leadership role within logistics and warehousing
- Deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, inventory management, transportation, and warehouse operations
- Experience with logistics software and WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)
