Senior Financial Specialist
Job Description
Responsible for monthly reconciliations, financial reporting, external and internal audits, annual projects for asset impairment assessment, investment property valuation, physical inventory and fixed assets information for the insurance department. Ensure the integrity of the financial database of all KAUST assets and compliance with IFRS and Financial Regulations policy. Provide advice to Asset Support, Capital Budgeting and Engineering teams on financial issues related to asset life cycle activities. Manage yearly Asset Impairment assessment and Valuation projects. Perform month end and year end activities.
Responsibilities
- Manage Yearly Asset Impairment assessment Project
- Manage yearly Valuation Project
- Manage Biennial Physical Inventory Project
- Ensure month end and year end activities are conducted on time
- Prepare monthly and yearly Fixed Assets schedules and analysis
- Prepare Fixed Assets reconciliations to GL
- Develop and implement financial regulation policy and FA reporting procedures
- Review FA business processes and systems for improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related major
- A minimum of eight years in fixed assets and financial accounting and reporting
- Experience in the use of ERP (preferably SAP) accounting systems
