Web & Digital Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Web & Digital Specialist to own the day-to-day operation, development, and optimisation of the company group websites. This role is accountable for website design and development (WordPress/PHP), SEO and content updates, request triage, stakeholder coordination, and ensuring websites meet business, performance and security governance standards.
Responsibilities
- Fully own the lifecycle of all corporate websites (approx. 8–10 sites)
- Develop, maintain and extend WordPress environments (themes, plugins, multisite setups)
- Triage, prioritise and resolve website requests and incidents
- Implement and maintain on-page and technical SEO best practices
- Monitor site performance and user analytics
- Coordinate content approvals with business and website owners
- Work with external vendors, freelancers and contractors
- Maintain staging and production environments, backups, and deployment processes
- Apply security patches and hardening measures to WordPress core/plugins/themes
- Maintain documentation: runbooks, SOPs, and onboarding guides
- Provide training and support for website owners and Marketing users
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Digital Marketing or related field
- 6+ years experience in web development with a focus on WordPress and PHP
