Resident Engineer _ IT ThinOS
Job Description
Role Overview: The Resident Engineer will be the onsite technical authority for managing, securing, and optimizing Client fleets—specifically ThinOS environments—across banking branches and operations. This specialist will ensure full hardware and peripheral compatibility, a stringent security posture meeting banking standards (including multi-factor authentication), and deliver hands-on technical support and guidance to IT teams and end users.
Responsibilities
- Oversee large-scale deployment and integration of Dell Thin Clients operating ThinOS
- Lead testing and troubleshooting for all relevant peripherals
- Configure and manage ThinOS devices through Wyse Management Suite (WMS)
- Apply and enforce bank security measures like MFA and biometrics
- Ensure ThinOS devices adhere to regulatory requirements like FIPS 140-2
- Develop and maintain security policies for endpoint protection
- Train and support IT staff in ThinOS management
- Act as point-of-contact between Dell and the bank's technical teams
