Dispatcher
Job Description
Operating the Dispatch Center for life support services in support of the State Department. Responsible for relaying emergency communications and managing fire department crew dispatch.
Responsibilities
- Receive reports of emergencies via radio, phone, or fire station walk-in
- Dispatch Fire Department crew(s) to the scene of emergencies
- Operate the Fire Dispatch Center
- Relay communications between on-scene responders and support personnel
- Maintain record keeping and administrative duties
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of Emergency Services dispatch experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Valid drivers’ license
- Telecommunicator I & II certifications
- HAZMAT Awareness certification
