Job Description

A Receptionist provides reception services for Guests to contribute to an overall exceptional experience from check-in through check-out and complete audits, as required. A Receptionist contributes to the first impressions of our Guests and, therefore, must perform tasks to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve positive outcomes from Guest queries
  • Ensure an efficient reception experience for Guests
  • Keep Front Office Manager and Reception Supervisors aware of feedback
  • Demonstrate high level of customer service
  • Attend training courses
  • Demonstrate knowledge of hotel room categories and rates
  • Maximize room occupancy and use up-selling techniques
  • Use correct procedures for currency acceptance
  • Comply with hotel security and safety legislation

Qualifications

  • Completed high school certificate or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a customer-focused industry
  • Excellent grooming standards
  • Competent level of IT proficiency
