Project Manager - Ubuntu Embedded Systems
Job Description
Canonical is hiring a Project Manager for the Devices business. This role is responsible for the coordination and completion of large complex customer-facing projects involving Ubuntu images on various devices like robots, edge gateways, and IoT devices. You will act as the primary liaison between engineering teams and customers.
Responsibilities
- Managing projects through their complete life cycle
- Delivering engineering professional services for assigned projects
- Working with engineering teams on custom board enablement
- Assisting in the development of project statements of work
- Drafting and maintaining project-specific schedules and project plans
- Managing project risk mitigation and plans
- Driving technical issues to reach desired delivery outcomes
Qualifications
- Solid project management experience in delivering engineering services to customers
- Extensive experience managing projects with cross-cultural and multi-continent resources
- Educational degree preferably in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math
- Good knowledge of Linux and computer architecture
- Excellent communications skills in English
- PMP/PMI or PRINCE2 Practitioner Certification preferred
