General Manager / Commercial Manager – Contracting
Job Description
We are a growing UAE-based contracting company involved in construction and fit-out projects. We are looking for a senior, commercially driven manager who can lead operations and actively grow the business through industry relationships and market knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new business opportunities in the UAE construction market
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with developers, consultants, and clients
- Lead prequalification, tender invitations, and client meetings
- Strategically decide which projects to bid on based on risk, margin, and capacity
- Review tenders, BOQs, drawings, and specifications
- Oversee estimation and pricing to ensure competitive yet profitable bids
- Negotiate contracts, variations, and claims
- Supervise multiple projects through Project Managers and site teams
- Monitor project performance, timelines, and cost control
- Handle claims, variations, EOTs, and dispute resolution
Qualifications
- 10–15+ years of UAE contracting company experience
- Proven experience in both operations and business development
- Strong network with developers, consultants, and industry stakeholders
- Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong commercial, contractual, and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Engineering or Construction-related degree (Preferred)
- Valid UAE driving license
