Project Engineer - Telecom
Job Description
As a Project Engineer – Telecom, you will be involved in managing client relationships and project execution for telecom system installations in Qatar. You will lead teams, manage budgets, oversee technical designs, communicate with clients, and mitigate risks while ensuring quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Act as the main contact for clients and contractors
- Review scope and goals with Sales and prepare execution plans
- Create detailed plans with timelines, resources, and budgets
- Lead engineering and site teams
- Manage budgets, track costs, and approve purchases
- Review and approve designs and ensure system integration
- Identify risks and implement mitigation plans
- Oversee inspections, testing, and commissioning
- Lead FAT/SAT and manage client handover
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical/ Electronics Engineering or similar
- 10+ years of experience in low voltage, security, and telecom systems
- Experience with JCI/TYCO UAE and Oil & Gas projects (Preferred)
- PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certifications (Preferred)
- Background in Telecom System Integration (Preferred)
