Software Engineer
Job Description
Senior Python Developer for a London-based proprietary trading startup. The role involves architecting a bespoke Desktop Trading Application (GUI) to serve as a central cockpit for market monitoring, and building a bridge between the application and Excel for live data export. The candidate will work directly with the Head Trader to translate researches into functional tools and decision-support systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop primary Desktop Application using Python GUI frameworks
- Build robust connectors for Interactive Brokers (TWS API) and external data feeds
- Architect local Data Warehouses (SQL/SQLite) for tick data storage
- Develop Excel integrations for real-time data manipulation
- Deploy ad-hoc decision-support tools
- Provide mandatory daily reporting (EOD)
Qualifications
- Must possess a powerful Desktop PC
- Curiosity and ability to learn financial concepts quickly
