Job Description
The Reduction Shift Operator carries out all activities in Reduction & Distillation Process in Titanium Sponge production process. This encompasses operating plant within set parameters and monitoring production workflow to assure quality, as well as monitoring and recording routine production data.
Responsibilities
- Maintain oversight of the reduction and distillation process
- Charging of molten Magnesium
- Oversight of the MgCI2 tapping operation
- Oversight of the distillation process and taking corrective action
- Operate process according to established procedures
- Observe and monitor the process and anticipate problems
- Monitor equipment performance and prepare equipment for maintenance
- Maintain and follow Quality procedures
- Communicate equipment/ process issues to colleagues
- Crane and hoist operation
- Safe operation of electrical supply
Qualifications
- Diploma degree
- 1 year of experience
