Job Description
This role is critical in driving the optimization and advancement of chemical processes from laboratory scale to commercial production. Operating on a hybrid model, the candidate will be instrumental in scaling up new processes while ensuring efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of novel chemical processes.
- Conduct pilot plant trials and process troubleshooting.
- Develop PFDs, P&IDs, and other engineering documentation.
- Perform process simulations and modeling.
- Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams for technology transfer.
- Identify process improvements to enhance yield and reduce costs.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
- Manage project scope, resources, and timelines.
Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in process development and scale-up.
- Strong understanding of kinetics, thermodynamics, and mass transfer.
- Proficiency in simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
- Experience with PHA techniques and safety management.
