Job Description
As a Welder/Pipefitter, you will perform journeyman level welding/cutting & metal fabrications in the Allied Trades Welding shop & Field support, and welding/fabrication/repairs as required.
Responsibilities
- Performs Shop/Field Journeyman SMAW, GMAW, GTAW Welding & Metal Fabrications
- Reads blueprints, sketches, and modification orders to plan the layout
- Fabricates metal products per technical drawings or samples
- Assists in coaching subordinate welders
- Responsible for the Welding Testing/Qualification process
- Utilizes Oxygen/Acetylene, Carbon Arc, Plasma cutting equipment
- Responsible for observing OSHA, AFOSHA ES&H and fire regulations
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Five (5) years’ experience in Weld Shop
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in welding inspection
- Qualified journeyman
- DoD Secret Clearance
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License
