Cold Kitchen Sous Chef

Job Description

The Cold Kitchen Sous Chef is responsible for supervising the cold kitchen section, preparing dishes, and mentoring staff.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the cold kitchen section
  • Prepare and present cold dishes, salads, sandwiches, and desserts with attention to detail
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items aligned with the restaurant’s concept
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
  • Ensure food safety, hygiene, and quality standards are maintained
  • Coordinate with baristas and service staff to create pairings between food and specialty coffee
  • Monitor inventory and assist in ordering supplies for the cold kitchen

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in cold kitchen operations
  • Strong knowledge of cold food preparation techniques and plating aesthetics
  • Experience in specialty coffee or café‑style dining is an advantage
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment
  • Flexibility with shifts, including weekends and evenings
  • Can join immediately with valid Qatar ID and transferrable working visa
