Job Description
UNICEF works in over 190 countries and territories to save children’s lives, defend their rights, and help them fulfill their potential. Based on established policies and guidelines, the purpose of this role is to carry out broad ICT functions and enable the provision of ICT solutions and services in a small size office.
Responsibilities
- Enable continuous operation of ICT infrastructure and accessibility to services
- Ensure physical and logical security of ICT environment
- Operate ICT infrastructure hardware, network and telecommunications
- Manage contracts for ICT services and products
- Implement corporate solutions and keep applications running
- Manage changes, upgrades, and security patches
- Manage ICT disaster recovery plans
- Provide technical and operational support to end-users
- Support operational and administrative tasks related to budget and assets
- Assist in technical and operational knowledge transfer to programme staff
Qualifications
- A University degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology management, or related field
- A minimum of two years of professional experience in information technology management and business operations
- Fluency in English and Turkish is required
- Experience in a UN organization is an asset
