Senior Marine Engineer
Job Description
Senior Marine Engineer with strong experience in maritime and industrial environments, including hydraulic systems and diesel engines. Responsible for ensuring high availability of production equipment to support continuous and uninterrupted plant operations. The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment modifications, and performance improvements to ensure all systems operate safely, reliably, and efficiently in alignment with production targets and operational requirements.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and conduct major maintenance activities (corrective, preventive, predictive)
- Ensure compliance with legislative and environmental requirements
- Plan and coordinate work and collaborate with different departments
- Optimize available manpower for maximum efficiency
- Contribute to technical evaluation of received offers
- Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules
- Analyze and evaluate issues with production equipment to develop solutions
- Prepare technical reports for major maintenance activities
- Maintain commitment to safety regulations and environmental standards
Qualifications
- B.Sc. Degree in Marine/ Mechanical Engineering, or 2nd Marine Engineer Certificate of Competency
- GPA of Good or higher
- Registered with the Jordanian Engineers Association or the Jordan Maritime Commission
- 5–8 years of proven experience in reputable marine and industrial firms
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
