Head of Security
Job Description
LocalStack is a fast-growing Series A startup building cutting-edge technology to revolutionize cloud development processes. We are looking for a Head of Security with 7+ years in a security engineering or compliance role to ensure robust security posture of our product and lead initiatives for incident monitoring and vulnerability management.
Responsibilities
- Ensure robust security posture of the product across components
- Lead initiatives for incident monitoring and intrusion detection
- Define and implement regular security auditing procedures
- Deliver a sustainable process for vendor risk assessments
- Own documentation of security controls, configurations, and policies
Qualifications
- 7+ years in a security engineering or security compliance role
- Expert knowledge of threat modelling and vulnerability management
- Practical experience with cloud security (AWS preferred)
- Good knowledge of common standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR)
