Backup & Storage Specialist (Systems Engineer)
Job Description
Seeking an experienced Backup & Storage Specialist to design, implement, and maintain critical data protection and storage infrastructure. Responsible for ensuring the integrity, availability, and security of data across hybrid cloud, hyperconverged, and on-premises environments. You will manage enterprise backup solutions, primarily Commvault, and administer a diverse range of storage systems including SAN, NAS, VMware vSAN, and Nutanix HCI.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise backup and storage administration across hybrid environments.
- Proven expertise in managing large-scale data protection using Commvault.
- Proficiency in administering enterprise storage systems (SAN/HCI).
- In-depth knowledge of VMware technologies (vCenter, NSX, vSAN) and Nutanix AHV.
- Strong command of managing storage and backup integrations in Azure and GCP.
- Advanced administration skills for both Windows Server and major Linux distributions.
- Proficiency in scripting for automation using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Experience applying ITIL best practices.
