Customer Service Officer
Job Description
VAS is seeking Customer Service Officers to join our Visa and Government Service Centers in Lebanon. The role focuses on delivering high-quality customer service, accurate application processing, and strict adherence to operational, regulatory, and data protection standards in a regulated service environment. Key responsibilities include receiving, verifying, and processing customer applications, guiding customers on documentation requirements, and managing queue flow. Candidates must be willing to work shifts as per operational needs and comply with VAS operational policies.
Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, and process customer applications in line with VAS procedures and client requirements
- Guide customers on documentation requirements, application processes, and applicable service fees
- Manage queue handling, token issuance, and customer flow during normal and peak operating hours
- Perform accurate and timely data entry in line with zero-error and quality benchmarks
- Support biometric enrollment and digital submissions as required
- Assist customers with form filling and online application completion
- Ensure strict compliance with PII data protection, security, and confidentiality standards
- Support cash handling, receipt issuance, and daily reconciliation where applicable
- Coordinate with internal operations and logistics teams according to SOPs
- Ensure adherence to service-level agreements, client guidelines, and regulatory standards
- Promote and cross-sell Value Added Services (VAS products) where applicable
- Address customer queries and issues professionally to maintain high satisfaction levels
- Participate in mandatory operational, compliance, security, and client trainings
- Support center management in audits, inspections, and internal compliance reviews
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualification: High School Diploma
- Preferred Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree
- 1–2 years in customer service roles
- Prior experience in visa centers, Amer, Tasheel, Tawjeeh, typing centers, or similar service industries is highly preferred
