SQE Advisor
Job Description
The SQE Advisor contributes to the design of the SQE Directorate’s long-term strategy and roadmap. The role involves recommending and supporting the development of strategy in line with SANS business objectives, assessing directorate plans, and examining project progress to ensure safe and efficient management. Key accountabilities include budgeting, developing business cases, performing research on processes, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental management policies. The advisor provides recommendations to managers regarding procedures, assists in investigating incidents or breaches, and reports hazardous activities to prevent nonconformity.
Responsibilities
- Recommend and support the development of directorate’s long-term strategy
- Contributes to the design of the SQE Directorate’s long-term strategy and roadmap
- Assess SQE directorate’s strategy and plan to support the functional strategy
- Develop business cases for SQE Directorate projects
- Perform research on processes and recommend changes in strategy to improve SQE business
- Advise and develop SQE Directorate’s compliance KPIs
- Recommend continuous improvement and best practices in the safety performance and compliance of ANS
- Report any breaches and hazardous activities
- Provide guidance on establishing strategic SQE planning and follow up process of policies, procedures, and controls
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in ANS or related field in Aviation management
- Familiar with and have full understanding of GACARs, ICAO documents, regulations & standards or related field
