Billing Specialist III - REMOTE
Job Description
Utilizes knowledge of insurance regulations, health insurance contracts, medical coding, and bookkeeping to perform a variety of revenue cycle support activities. This includes medical coding, insurance verification, and ensuring accuracy of practice management system data.
Responsibilities
- Maintain practice management system data
- Review, submit, and follow up with clean claims
- Post and manage patient account payments
- Investigate rejected claims and correct denials
- Resolve patient billing issues
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum of one year in billing experience preferred
- Knowledge of revenue cycle processes and medical insurance
