Procurement Cost and Commercial Director
Job Description
Reporting to the Programme Director, the Procurement, Cost and Commercial Director is responsible for the management of the procurement, cost and commercial activities of the PMC. The project is a major built environment programme for a mixed-use development aiming to be a global landmark recognized for its unique vision and position as an authentic destination in Riyadh.
Responsibilities
- Direct and manage the evaluation process for all tendered projects in the Programme.
- Lead the evaluation team and manage delivery of evaluation reports.
- Interface with the Main Project Steering Committee.
- Develop and implement cost estimating and commercial strategy.
- Lead and manage team of cost controllers, estimators, contract administrators and quantity surveyors.
- Developing and maintaining estimating and cost control and reporting standards.
- Preparation and maintenance of project cost break down structure, budget and integrated cost report.
- Establishment and maintenance of a program cost benchmarking database.
- Preparation of monthly and weekly reports.
Qualifications
- BSc Quantity Surveying or Masters Degree.
- Minimum 20 years overall experience.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role.
- Minimum of 5 years working experience in Middle East.
- Sound knowledge of cost control, estimating and commercial aspects of major civil & infrastructure projects.
- Membership of a recognised International Professional Body e.g. MRICS or FRICS (preferred).
- Experience in international contracting mechanisms including FIDIC, NCE.
