Job Description

The Sales and Business Development Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities, and staying informed on market trends. The role involves regular client visits to understand requirements, preparing a client database, conducting competitor and market analysis, and following up on ongoing projects, tenders, and contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular visits to clients to understand their requirements, expectations, and future needs
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to identify and capitalize on business opportunities
  • Analyze competitors' offerings, strengths, and market positions to support strategic planning
  • Conduct ongoing market research to identify trends, demands, and emerging opportunities
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on market data
  • Monitor ongoing projects, upcoming tenders, and signed contracts
  • Ensure timely follow-up on all identified opportunities and leads
  • Manage and follow up on registration and pre-qualification processes with clients
  • Ensure all documentation is complete, compliant, and submitted on time
  • Follow up the update of company profile with the concerned team
  • Collaborate regularly with the procurement team, technical office, and workshop staff
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date database containing client contacts, project information, competitor analysis, and tenders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in industrial sales, business development, or engineering-related fields (preferably in Oil & Gas, Power, or Industrial sectors)
  • Strong communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic CRM tools
  • Familiarity with tendering processes, pre-qualification procedures, and EPC market dynamics
  • Strong understanding of industrial fabrication, steel structures, piping, or related technical products is preferred
  • Must hold a valid Kuwait driving license and have own vehicle for client visits
  • Proactive, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team
