Solution Engineer, Manager/Borders
Job Description
You will become a member of the border management’s architecture team and provide consulting services to the product and customer delivery teams, helping with guidance throughout the design and development process of our business opportunities. Reporting to the Solution Engineer Director at SITA At Borders, you will be part of a team challenging the status quo, designing solutions that employ strong architecture frameworks and using technologies such as AI/Machine Learning, Biometrics Matching and Identity Management.
Responsibilities
- Design/coordinate development of standard and complex solutions involving multiple parties
- Support account teams during pre-contract phases with technical designs
- Provide technical qualification for proposals submitted to customers
- Promote SITA solutions through customer meetings and workshops
- Facilitate designs to be efficiently implemented Right the First Time (RFT)
- Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas and opportunities
- Account for designing solutions for large or complex programs
- Lead and coordinate with subject matter experts (SMEs)
- Work with architects and development teams to produce successful customer designs
- Assess viability and value of new technologies and patterns
Qualifications
- 6–8 years of experience in Information Technology, Telecom Industry or Air Transport Industry
- BS level Technical Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering Computer Technologies
- Experienced in designing, integrating, and managing software solutions
- Background in systems integration industry
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of information legislation (Data Protection Act, GDPR)
