Well Superintendent
Job Description
The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the execution of well programs, including drilling, completion, and workover operations, ensuring that all activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively. Acting as the primary point of contact for Wellsite Supervisors, the Superintendent coordinates communications between the wellsite, Product Lines, and third-party contractors.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day well program execution and monitor operational progress
- Participate in pre-job planning/kickoff meetings with PLs, contractors, and customers
- Review operational issues and support incident response
- Drive continuous improvement of HSE processes
- Forecast resource requirements and manage operational budgets
- Provide training, mentoring, and development for Wellsite Supervisors
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering (or a related engineering discipline)
- Proven experience in well program execution (drilling, completion, and workover)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to HSE and quality standards
