Job Description
Drivers are responsible for safely operating vehicles to transport passengers or goods, adhering to traffic laws, conducting maintenance checks, and planning efficient routes. Key duties include loading/unloading cargo, maintaining accurate mileage logs, managing schedules, and providing professional service.
Responsibilities
- Adhering to all traffic laws, speed limits, and safety regulations
- Transporting people, goods, or equipment to designated locations
- Utilizing GPS systems to plan the most efficient routes
- Conducting pre- and post-trip inspections and arranging for repairs
- Safely loading, securing, and unloading cargo
- Maintaining accurate logs of mileage and fuel consumption
- Interacting with passengers or clients in a professional manner
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Capability to sit for long periods and lift heavy objects up to 70 pounds
- Familiarity with local routes, traffic patterns, and navigation apps
- Availability to work weekends, nights, or long, irregular hours
